Events/activities for prospective students and parents

We look forward to welcoming everyone for an enjoyable experience as they learn about our community and programmes. Exam Technique Workshop for prospective students
Wednesday, 5 February 2025, 3:30 pm
Meeting Point: Main Yard (in front of Reception)
Parents set high expectations for their children’s education. Meanwhile, school managements aim at admitting students who have the potential to meet these expectations. As the entrance exam is essentially the sole criterion for admission, the GCS Management considers it very important that the results reflect each candidate’s true ability. It has been noticed that underachievement in the exam can often be put down to poor examination technique and not poor knowledge of the material tested. Consequently, the School is organising seminars during which members of the Departments of Mathematics and Modern Greek (or English for English speakers) will:
- explain the grading system
- indicate common mistakes that lead to loss of marks
- clarify what is expected of and what should be avoided by the candidates
In an attempt to help the children familiarise themselves with the School premises, the seminars will be followed by a guided tour around the facilities which will be used on Entrance Examination Day.
Event Programme:
- 3:30 – 5:30: Seminars – two 60 minute sessions (Maths and Language)
- 5:30 – 6:00: Guided tour / snack
For expression of interest to attend, please contact the School Administration by Tuesday, 4 February 2025.

the School as well as the admission procedure. Parents are welcome to contact School Reception at 22464400, to arrange a meeting at a time convenient to them.
